Brigadier (Prof.) V. K. Panday (Retd.), a renowned academic administrator did his BE (Mechanical & Electrical) in 1976 and Advance Diploma in Radar Technology in 1978 from Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering, Secundrabad and M.Tech. (Optoelectronics) in 1981 from IIT Delhi/Queens University of Belfast UK. A gold medalist in Advance Diploma in System Analysis & Design (EDP) from Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, MHOW, has over 38 years of handsome experience in technology management, production, logistics, human resource, security and risk management. During his illustrious career in Indian Army, he was responsible for strategic planning and allocation of technical, financial and manpower resources for his work in computerization of defence inventory, he was awarded Chief of Army Staff Commendation while serving in Directorate of Standardization, Ministry of Defence.

Panday (Retd.) has rich experience of running a premier professional institution of the country, Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), New Delhi for four years prior to joining this InstituteThe global economic order, the rapid rate of technological advancement, the information revolution, all has opened multifaceted challenges as well as opportunities for the engineers of this millennium.
